SMM reported on December 28th that the SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index was 95,724 yuan/ton, a decrease of 316 yuan/ton from the previous working day. The average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate was 93,000-101,000 yuan/ton, with an average price of 97,000 yuan/ton, a decrease of 0.15 yuan/ton from the previous working day. The average price of industrial-grade lithium carbonate was 86,000-90,000 yuan/ton, with an average price of 88,000 yuan/ton, a decrease of 0.15 yuan/ton from the previous working day. Previously, lithium carbonate prices experienced a significant decline, and they have now reached a relatively low range. The willingness of lithium salt manufacturers to support prices has gradually strengthened. As the price difference between futures and spot prices widens, some manufacturers have shown an increased willingness to exchange at high prices. In addition, with the unstable demand for positive electrode materials, purchasing demand is also more cautious, leading to gradually sluggish market transactions and a stable trend.
