CITIC Securities Forecasts Fluctuating Downward Trend for Lithium Prices in 2024, Potential Rebound Looms

Published: Dec 27, 2023 10:18
CITIC Securities: Lithium prices are expected to remain in a fluctuating downward trend in 2024, with a short-term supply-demand structural mismatch potentially leading to a rebound. CITIC Securities released a research report stating that based on the supply and demand situation in 2024, lithium prices are expected to continue to fluctuate downward and slowly bottom out. The firm believes that a rebound in lithium prices may occur due to a short-term supply-demand structural mismatch around the end of the first quarter of 2024, resulting from the price decline throughout 2023 and industry destocking.
