SMM Research: End-of-year building materials demand weakens, Central China rebar production remains stable. This week, the operating rate of rebar rolling mills in Central China was flat compared to the previous week, with a slight increase in capacity utilization. Specifically, steel plants in Henan province resumed normal production after previous maintenance, with an increased number of production days and a small rise in output. Meanwhile, steel plants in Hubei and Hunan provinces were producing normally. In terms of inventory, steel plants in Central China continued to accumulate inventory, with a significant increase in inventory in the Henan region, mainly due to weakened market demand but increased influx of external resources, limiting the shipment of local resources.
