Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 25, ZEEKR, Geely's premium new energy vehicle brand, revealed the extension of its highway NZP (Navigation ZEEKR Pilot) driving assistant system to encompass the cities of Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, and Zhuhai in Guangzhou Province, ensuring continued coverage across the Pearl River Delta region.

Additionally, the company announced that customers who pre-order the ZEEKR 001 or 009 models before December 31 will enjoy a complimentary 12-month usage of the ZEEKR NZP.

The highway NZP by ZEEKR operates on an HD map-based driving assistance system, facilitating automatic on and off-ramp navigation, cruising, lane changes, and interchange transitions on highways and urban expressways, reducing driver’s fatigue during long-distance travel. This functionality will gradually be activated through remote software upgrades.

This system excels in recognizing traffic light information and offers seven core functions, including active lane changing, navigation-based lane changing, automatic ramp passage, correct route selection, intelligent detours through construction zones, turn signal-based lane changes, and simulated environment display.

Both the ZEEKR 001 and the ZEEKR 009 models support the highway NZP functionality. Notably, the ZEEKR 001 model is equipped with the SuperVision system, incorporating two 7nm Mobileye EyeQ5H chips, seven 8-megapixel high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and one millimeter-wave radar, extending the vehicle's detection range to 600 meters, providing robust hardware support for the high-speed NZP.

Earlier this month, ZEEKR expanded its NZP system coverage to Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou, Nanjing, and Zhenjiang cities, connecting the Yangtze River Delta region.

The company has set a plan to launch the highway NZP function in 17 cities by the end of the year. Presently, the function has been activated in 17 cities, meeting this targeted expansion.
