Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 22, SinoHytec, a Chinese company engaging in R&D and industrialization of fuel cell engine systems, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Gas Group Company Limited ("Beijing Gas") and Zhangjiakou Zhonghe New Energy Group Co., Ltd. ("Zhangjiakou Zhonghe New Energy"), marking a significant collaboration in the renewable energy sector.
Under the agreement, the three parties will act as strategic partners in renewable energy fields such as wind and solar power generation, green hydrogen production, novel energy storage, pure hydrogen pipelines, and natural gas blending with hydrogen. Together, they aim to establish an energy security system in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The collaboration extends to large-scale green hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and transportation, fuel cell vehicles, hydrogen power generation, cogeneration, and metallurgical and chemical processes utilizing green hydrogen and green ammonia as raw materials.
The initial cooperative projects include the "Zhangjiakou City Wind-Hydrogen Integrated Source-Grid-Load-Storage Comprehensive Demonstration Project" and the hydrogen pipeline project in Zhangjiakou. These projects will serve as the gateway to deepen their cooperation and implement comprehensive technology integration demonstration projects for diversified hydrogen applications.
Moving forward, the three parties plan to actively promote the expansion of green hydrogen applications, ensuring a stable supply for Beijing and accelerating the adoption of green hydrogen, contributing to Zhangjiakou's role as a green hydrogen hub and the strategic gateway for "West-to-East Hydrogen Transmission." This initiative aims to establish an energy security system in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and explore a development path guided by "green electricity and green hydrogen."
Beijing Gas, as a prominent urban gas supplier, holds a unique position in providing renewable energy, especially hydrogen, for Beijing city. Zhangjiakou Zhonghe New Energy, a state-owned enterprise, specializes in renewable energy project development, covering a wide range of sectors such as green energy, hydrogen, energy storage, smart maintenance, carbon transaction, big data, and technological consultancy services.
