Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 20, AITO, the premium new energy vehicle brand jointly developed by Huawei and SERES, revealed the safety specifications of the upcoming M9 model.

The M9 employs a groundbreaking single-cast rear body, where 80% of its volume consists of lightweight aluminum alloy, achieving a lightweight coefficient of only 2.02. With 12 zones utilizing 2000MPa-grade hot-formed steel, the vehicle ensures robust structural integrity. Standard safety features include 9 airbags, 16 safety points, pre-tensioned seat belts for enhanced safety, and mechanical door handles on all four doors to aid in emergencies. Additionally, its threshold beam includes 11 protective cavities, enhancing side-impact energy absorption.

The vehicle's battery employs a five-layer safety enclosure and utilizes comprehensive high-voltage thermal runaway prevention technology, providing 10-layer thermal safety protection to prevent extreme battery thermal runaway scenarios.

Measuring 5,230mm in length, 1,999mm in width, and 1,800mm in height, the M9 offers versatile seating configurations with six electrically adjustable seats across three rows, adaptable to 3, 4, 5, or 6-seater layouts, enhancing interior flexibility.

Featuring a tri-screen design complemented by Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.0 smart cockpit, the M9 embodies symmetrical interior aesthetics. The integration of Huawei's AR-HUD, boasting a 75-inch display, introduces groundbreaking augmented reality navigation fused with intelligent driving, setting new standards in AR integration for enhanced driving experiences.

Power options of the M9 include a pure electric version with dual motors (160kW front, 230kW rear) and a plug-in hybrid electric variant with a 1.5T engine (112kW) complementing the electric setup akin to its electric counterpart.
