Zhejiang Province Announces Electricity Marketization Trading Scheme for 2024

The Development and Reform Commission of Zhejiang Province, the Zhejiang Energy Regulatory Office, and the Provincial Energy Bureau jointly issued a notice on the "2024 Zhejiang Province Electricity Marketization Trading Scheme". The notice stipulates that the market-based electricity trading volume of coal-fired power companies in the province is temporarily set at 260 billion kilowatt-hours, and will be adjusted timely according to the annual electricity consumption growth. At the same time, unsubsidized wind power and photovoltaic power generation can participate in green electricity trading, while subsidized wind power and photovoltaic power generation companies are encouraged to negotiate with power users to participate in green electricity trading. The green electricity trading volume is all for long-term trading volume.
