On December 15th, the last trading day of the SHFE copper 2312 contract, the inter-month spread of the back months narrowed from around 350 yuan/ton in the morning to 110 yuan/ton at the afternoon close. At the close of the SHFE copper 2312 contract, the open interest was 1590 lots, corresponding to a delivery quantity of 7950 tons; the warehouse receipts for copper futures on the SHFE were 12078 tons, accounting for 65.8% of the delivery quantity.
