SMM Dec 14: According to the official announcement of Hunan Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., the company has decided to cancel the bismuth concentrate auction sales project originally scheduled for December. This means that Hunan Shizhuyuan Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. will suspend the auction sales of bismuth concentrate to the external market in December. The specific time for the next bismuth concentrate auction sales project will be decided in January of next year, 2024. Market participants also indicated that due to the apparent scarcity of bismuth raw materials currently circulating in the market, coupled with the year-end settlement in December, it is estimated that other bismuth raw material suppliers may also be reluctant to sell or suspend sales. As a result, bismuth raw materials in December and possibly early January next year may become more scarce, potentially impacting the production and supply of bismuth ingots to a certain extent.
