Geely Holding, DRB-HICOM to build joint venture for development of Malaysia's AHTV

On December 11, Geely Holding Group and DRB-HICOM Group signed a joint venture agreement to establish AHTV, the Automobile High-Technology Valley, aiming at comprehensive development in Malaysia.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 11, Geely Holding Group and DRB-HICOM Group signed an agreement to establish a joint venture to help Malaysia's Automobile High-Technology Valley (AHTV) boost its development.

Concurrently, Geely's Guangyu Mingdao Digital Technology Co., Ltd. (Guangyu Mingdao) partnered with Malaysia's ALTEL Group Sdn Bhd (AGSB) to help Malaysian enterprises accelerate their digital transformation.

The Malaysian market stands as a strategic choice for Geely, serving as a gateway to Southeast Asia. This pact further amplifies Geely's commitment to deepening and expanding its foothold in Malaysia.

The joint venture will leverage Geely Holding and DRB-HICOM's resource advantages, intending to create a global high-tech R&D hub and a world-class automotive manufacturing cluster, said Geely Holding. Its holistic value chain solutions aim to advance industrial ecosystem in smart logistics, talent development, and smart cities, positioning AHTV as a hub for ASEAN's new energy and technology R&D and manufacturing.

As part of Geely Holding's digital arm, Guangyu Mingdao continually broadens cross-industry digital capabilities. The collaboration with AGSB focuses on bolstering digitalization in smart manufacturing, logistics, energy, and food processing industries, driving the digital transformation of Malaysian enterprises.
