The Inner Mongolia Energy Bureau Announces Application for New Energy Storage Power Stations on Grid Side

The Inner Mongolia Energy Bureau has issued a notice on organizing the application for demonstration projects of independent new energy storage power stations on the grid side. The notice released a list of 12 leagues and cities with a total capacity of 3.57GW/14.36GWh for application, including Tongliao, Ordos, Baotou, Xilingol, Ulanqab, Bayannur, Hinggan League, Wuhai, Hulunbuir, Alxa, Chifeng, and Hohhot. Among them, the energy storage duration requirements for 11 leagues and cities are 4 hours, and the energy storage duration requirement for the Alshan power supply area of Hinggan League is 8 hours, in order to meet the electricity demand at the terminal of the power grid. In the list, the three cities of Tongliao, Ordos, and Baotou have the largest scale, all of which are 500MW/2000MWh. The application requirement for the single project in Chifeng is 150MW/600MWh, and in Alshan of Hinggan League is 20MW/160MWh, while the rest are all 100MW/400MWh.
