Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 7, ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle brand under Geely Auto, revealed that its network of self-built charging stations has exceeded 850, spanning 136 cities nationwide. Notably, the ZEEKR Ultra-fast charging stations, totaling 406, now offer nearly 2,300 charging slots across the country.

The journey began on April 15, 2021, with the launch of ZEEKR's first-generation liquid-cooled fast-charging piles, boasting a single-gun output power of up to 360 kW. Subsequently, on September 28 of the same year, the inaugural batch of self-built charging stations marked went live in Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province.

Presently, the deployment of ZEEKR's second-generation liquid-cooled fast-charging piles has commenced in several cities nationwide. These latest chargers can deliver a single-gun maximum output power of 600 kW, with a peak output current of 650A. Simultaneously, comprehensive upgrades in system architecture, operational costs, and scenario compatibility ensure the ability to meet the future charging needs of 800V high-voltage vehicles.

At the ZEEKR Evolution Day in September this year, the company unveiled its third-generation ultra-fast charging pile, the V3, boasting a maximum output voltage of 1,000V, a top output current of 800A, and a single-gun peak power of 800 kW. ZEEKR anticipates the V3's mass production by year-end 2023, with station construction slated for the first quarter of 2024.

In addition to its extensive self-built charging infrastructure, ZEEKR has also built its energy network through external cooperation. In September this year, it announced that ZEEKR Power has had access to over 550,000 third-party public charging guns, achieving a nationwide coverage of over 96%, including nearly 160,000 expressway public charging guns.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
