"Germany added 1.23GW of new photovoltaic installations in October 2023, totaling 11.7GW for the year. The Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) reported that this marks the 8th consecutive month with more than 1GW of new installations. From January to October, a total of 11.7GW of photovoltaic installations have been added, bringing the cumulative total to 79.24GW.
In October, the national funds under the Renewable Energy Act (EEG) supported 606MW of new rooftop photovoltaic installations, as well as 24.7MW of ground-mounted installations and 2.3MW of tenant electricity projects. The remaining portion consisted of over 535MW of ground projects and 12.9MW of rooftop projects awarded in EEG auctions, as well as 15.9MW of rooftop and 34.3MW of open-space unsubsidized projects."
