Beijing (Gasgoo)- Zhao Changjiang, the Sales Division Manager of BYD-backed high-end new energy vehicle brand DENZA, took to social media on December 6 to unveil the upcoming N7 smart driving experience season event set for December 8 in Beijing.

Zhao also revealed that DENZA will begin rolling out the advanced Highway NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) assistance driving feature to N7 users by the end of December.

In late September this year, the N7 model introduced two premium intelligent driving assistance system packages called the "Divine Eye" (“Tianshen Zhi Yan” in Chinese).

The first is the Highway Intelligent Driving Package, upgraded to the new NVIDIA DRIVE Orin platform, equipped with 31 sensors through the vehicle, available as an optional upgrade for 12,000 yuan. This package enables Highway NOA functionality, with delivery scheduled for December this year and the Highway NOA feature set for an OTA (Over-the-Air) update in the first quarter of 2024.

The second option, the High-end Smart Driving Full Experience Package, includes dual LiDAR sensors, 33 sensors in total, available as an optional upgrade for 15,000 yuan. This package offers City/Highway NOA functionality, with Highway NOA slated for an OTA update in December 2023 and City NOA set for an OTA update in the first quarter of 2024.

Moreover, on September 21, the N7 underwent its first OTA upgrade, encompassing enhancements across three dimensions, namely, assistant driving, comfort, and active safety, with 10 new additions and 13 optimizations.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
