Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 5, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony took place in Hefei, involving Geely's Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group ("Farizon Auto"), Afanti New Energy Group, and Gotion High-tech.
The collaborative effort aims to promote the widespread adoption of Farizon Auto's new energy commercial vehicles equipped with Gotion High-tech's lithium iron phosphate batteries by 2024, totaling 10,000 customized and battery-swappable units. As industry leaders, the three entities plan to collaborate in establishing a novel energy replenishment business model centered around "vehicle-battery separation" and "battery banks," advancing the implementation of China "dual carbon" strategy and sustainable development.
Based on the principles of resource sharing, strength complementarity, mutual benefit, and shared development, the three parties have committed to strengthening the promotion and operation of new energy commercial vehicles in the urban logistics sector. They also aim to advance automotive energy reform and the development of vehicle-battery separation technology. Additionally, the collaboration will focus on promoting the widespread application of electric vehicle charging, battery swapping, and energy storage equipment for new energy commercial vehicles. The partnership also seeks to develop new types of automotive financial products based on vehicle-battery separation and boost the market application of battery bank models, aligning with the vision of creating a tangible and implementable collaborative plan.
Looking ahead, the three entities plan to sustain collaboration in areas such as vehicle-battery separation, battery banks, the stations that integrate photovoltaic, EV charging with energy storage, and the standardized construction of urban distribution vehicle swapping stations. Their collective goal is to continually optimize energy supply methods, thereby reducing operational costs for users.
