China Power Construction Corporation recently announced that the feasibility study report of the Feicheng 2×300MW (Phase I) Salt Cavern Compressed Air Energy Storage Demonstration Project (hereinafter referred to as the Feicheng Storage Project), invested and developed by China Power Construction New Energy Group, has successfully passed the review. This achievement marks an important step for China Power Construction in the field of compressed air energy storage.
The Feicheng Storage Project is one of the largest planned compressed air energy storage projects in the country, and has been applied for as one of the national new energy storage pilot demonstration projects. In addition, the project is also a key project to be promoted in Shandong Province, and has been successfully included in the first batch of preferred projects for new energy storage in Shandong Province in 2023. The first phase of the project has a capacity of 2×300MW/1800MWh, and the long-term plan consists of three phases with a total of 5×300MW/1800MWh. The construction of this project will help Tai'an City in Shandong to become the "capital of energy storage in China."
