Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle ma manufacturer XPeng delivered 20,041 vehicles in November 2023, representing a 245% year-on-year surge and also marking the second straight month exceeding 20,000 units in monthly deliveries, according to its sales results issued on Dec. 1.

Of the vehicles XPeng delivered last month, 8,750 units were contributed by the XPeng G6 all-electric SUV.

As of November, XPeng has seen its monthly deliveries grow month on month for 10 consecutive months, bringing its year-to-date total to 121,486 units- surpassing the automaker's aggregate 2022 sales.

On November 17, 2023, XPeng unveiled its latest flagship model, the X9, at the Auto Guangzhou 2023. Starting at 388,000 yuan in presales, the X9 is constructed on the SEPA2.0 architecture. This model showcases the company's comprehensive range of advanced smart EV technologies developed in-house, said XPeng. It comes standard with active rear-wheel steering and offers an expansive third-row seating experience.

On November 28, 2023, XPeng elevated the driving experience for the G9, the G6, and the P7i owners by introducing new OTA updates through its intelligent cockpit operating system, Xmart OS 4.4.0. The latest over-the-air (OTA) update introduces the next-generation XNGP ADAS that operates independently of high-definition (HD) map coverage in urban environments. This groundbreaking feature is now accessible in over 20 cities throughout China.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
