NIO posts 12.6% year-on-year growth in Nov. 2023 deliveries

NIO delivered 15,959 vehicles in November 2023, reflecting a 12.6% year-over-year increase, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker announced today.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- NIO delivered 15,959 vehicles in November 2023, reflecting a 12.6% year-over-year increase, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker announced today.

The Nov. deliveries consisted of 10,545 electric SUVs and 5,414 electric sedans.

Cumulative deliveries of NIO vehicles had reached 431,582 units as of November 30, 2023.

As for expansion of its sales and service network, in Nov., NIO newly deployed 3 NIO Houses, 13 NIO Spaces, 11 NIO service centers (including 6 overseas), and 2 NIO delivery centers worldwide.

For the same month, NIO also announced addition of 138 battery swapping stations (including 3 overseas) and 127 electric vehicle charging stations (including 2 overseas). Besides, NIO had access to 42,845 third-party charging piles in the past month.

The month of November marks a significant milestone as NIO initiated external cooperation on battery swapping-related businesses. On November 21, Changan Automobile and NIO signed a cooperative agreement in Chongqing city. This groundbreaking collaboration aims to establish battery swap standards, facilitate the construction and sharing of battery swap networks, engage in joint R&D of battery-swap-enabled vehicle models, and implement an efficient battery asset management system.

Then on November 29, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group and NIO Holding Ltd. inked a strategic cooperation agreement on battery swapping as well. The collaboration encompasses a broad spectrum, including battery standards, battery swapping technology, construction and operation of power swap service network, R&D and customization of battery-swap-enabled vehicle models, and battery asset management and operation.
