The Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced on the 28th the "Notice on Carrying Out Pilot Work for Optimizing the Cross-provincial Transfer Management of Waste Lead-acid Batteries". The notice specifies that, at national level, a group of recycling lead enterprises with high environmental management level, advanced technical equipment, complete pollution prevention and control facilities, and certain operational scale will be selected as pilot units for the optimization of cross-provincial transfer management of waste lead-acid batteries. During the pilot period, the cross-provincial transfer of waste lead-acid batteries to the pilot units, and the electronic transfer manifest of hazardous waste in the national solid waste management information system, shall be managed according to the provincial regulations on hazardous waste transfer.
