Medium and heavy rare earth prices started rebounding last week.

Medium and heavy rare earth prices started rebounding last week. Boosted by price hikes of a large rare earth group, dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide prices hiked, and inquiries and actual transactions increased sharply. In contrast, the actual transaction prices of Pr-Nd products mainly stayed depressed. Purchasing volume of magnetic material companies remained limited. Pr-Nd alloy plants suffered more losses.

Dysprosium oxide prices rebounded during last week, rising from 2.51-2.53 million yuan/mt on November 16 to 2.6-2.62 million yuan/mt on November 23, up 4% WoW.

During last week, mainstream prices of Pr-Nd oxide dipped from 500,000-514,000 yuan/mt on November 16 to 491,000-495,000 yuan/mt on November 23, down 1.8% WoW. Pr-Nd alloy prices declined from 615,000-620,000 yuan/mt on November 16 to 600,000-606,000 yuan/mt on November 23, down 2.4% WoW.
