Cost reduction pressure from downstream and inventory build-up to weigh down PV glass prices in December

Recently, the author visited the construction site of the Edible Fungi Green Integration Base in Yanshan Village, Yanshan Town, Shaowu City, and saw that the frameworks of 10 intelligent temperature-controlled cultivation greenhouses had been erected, with workers performing their respective duties and working overtime to ensure the project's construction progress. According to reports, the Edible Fungi Green Integration Base in Yanshan Village, Yanshan Town has a total investment of over 4 million yuan and a total construction area of 5,000 m². In addition to the intelligent temperature-controlled greenhouses, it is also equipped with 308.48 kW of PV equipment and a 100 m³ cold storage facility. The project is expected to be fully completed and put into use in December this year. Once operational, the base will fully release industrial benefits, activate the internal driving force of rural development, achieve dual income growth for the village collective and the public, and inject solid industrial strength into rural revitalization. "After the project is completed, it will not only enrich the local edible fungi cultivation varieties and strengthen the village collective economy, but also provide employment opportunities at the doorstep for surrounding residents, broadening channels for increasing public income," said You Peixin, the first secretary stationed in Yanshan Village, Yanshan Town, Shaowu City.

Recently, the Shaoxing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment formally accepted the environmental impact assessment documents for Shaoxing Tuobang New Energy's 30,000 mt/year environmentally friendly PV silicon surface new material technological transformation and relocation project, which will be located in Shaoxing Binhai New Area. This project is an in-situ technological transformation plus overall relocation and upgrade initiative. On the basis of the existing capacity, it completes process iteration and capacity expansion, focusing on environmentally friendly surface modification fine chemical materials specifically for PV wafers. These materials are mainly used in the cleaning, surface passivation, and defect repair processes for large-size N-type wafers. They feature low VOC, high cleanliness, and residue-free environmental protection characteristics, aligning with current green production standards in PV manufacturing and serving as core supporting consumables for the mass production of high-efficiency PV cells. The project's biggest highlight lies in the comprehensive upgrade of its production process, completely phasing out traditional intermittent outdated reaction units and fully adopting a continuous, automated production system. The new process not only significantly improves product purity and batch stability to meet the stringent standards of high-end PV production lines, but also reduces organic solvent consumption at the source, lowers hazardous waste and exhaust gas output, and comprehensively enhances cleaner production levels, in line with Zhejiang's requirements for green, low-carbon, safe, and quality-improving transformation of the chemical industry.
