Tighter supervision fuelled likelihood of iron ore price erosion

Looking at this week, scheduled maintenance of some steel mills in a slack season will feed into little likelihood of pig iron output uptick, while ore inventories at ports and steel mills will both stand low, offering a big boost to iron ore spot prices. However, iron ore prices may retrace down amid regulatory risks. Under this circumstance, iron ore prices are expected to fluctuate this week.
