SMM News: Spanish exploration and engineering company INSERSA and its Canadian subsidiary Kerogen Energy are exploring the lead mine in Linares, located in southern Spain. The last mine in the area has been closed for nearly 30 years due to lack of profitability, but there are still some undeveloped resources. Kerogen and INSERSA's research on the El Cobre-Matacabras-San Juan area has enabled them to envision a 10-year operation, producing 25,000 tons of metal per year, and the two companies have stated that their goal is to provide supply for the clean energy and electric vehicle markets.
