Fitch Solutions' market research arm BMI has slightly increased its forecast for the average price of tin this year from $25,000 per tonne to $25,700 per tonne. BMI said in a report on Monday that the adjustment was driven by what appears to be a bottoming out of global semiconductor sales, indicating a recovery in tin demand. The report also noted that global tin supply is tightening this year.
