Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission officially issued the "Implementation Plan for the New Power System in the Coastal Areas of Jiangsu Province (2023-2027) (Sufa Energy and Power [2023] 1064)". It proposes to actively and steadily develop offshore wind power and organize competitive allocation of offshore wind power projects near the sea. According to the national deep-sea wind power planning deployment, timely organize and implement deep-sea offshore wind power projects. Improve the quality and efficiency of existing onshore wind power, and orderly promote the transformation and upgrading of onshore wind power within the original scope. Organize the implementation of the "Implementation Plan for the Development and Construction of Offshore Photovoltaic in Jiangsu Province (2023-2027)", and make every effort to build a million-kilowatt-level offshore photovoltaic base. Give full play to the synergistic advantages of photovoltaic power generation, wind power and agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, and marine industry development, and carry out "photovoltaic and wind power +" project construction in accordance with local conditions.

India’s Industrial Growth Slows to 6.7% in July, but Steel Demand Remains Supported

India’s industrial activity continued to grow in July 2026, with the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rising 6.7% YoY, compared with 8.8% in June. Although growth slowed, July recorded the second-highest IIP growth since December 2025, showing that industrial activity remained relatively strong. For the domestic steel market, manufacturing, capital goods and infrastructure remain important areas to watch as they are key drivers of steel demand.
