Thailand's Investment Commission Secretary Narit Therdsteerasukdi has stated that in order to balance the budget, Thailand has approved a new subsidy program for the electric vehicle industry, which will be implemented from next year until 2027. The program will provide up to 100,000 baht (2,764 USD) subsidy per electric vehicle and has been approved by Thailand's Electric Vehicle Policy Committee, which will also include reduced import tariffs and consumer taxes to maintain Thailand's strong electric vehicle sales momentum as the largest automotive center in Southeast Asia.
