SMM Metal Industry Annual Conference: Copper Considered To Have The Most Trading Opportunities In 2024

At the main forum of the 2023 SMM 12th Metal Industry Annual Conference, co-sponsored by SMM, Chongqing Jiangjin District People's Government and the Shanghai Stock Exchange, all guests present participated in the prediction of development opportunities for the metal industry in 2024 by scanning a QR code. The forecast results were announced during a roundtable interview on the afternoon of November 1. According to the results, copper trading opportunities are most promising in 2024.

At the main forum of the 2023 SMM 12th Metal Industry Annual Conference, co-sponsored by SMM, Chongqing Jiangjin District People's Government and the Shanghai Stock Exchange, all guests present participated in the prediction of development opportunities for the metal industry in 2024 by scanning a QR code. The forecast results were announced during a roundtable interview on the afternoon of November 1. According to the results, copper trading opportunities are most promising in 2024.

In addition to copper trading opportunities accounting for 52%, aluminum received 22% of the vote, nickel 8%, zinc 7%, lead 6% and tin 5%.

The U.S. interest rate cut is considered to be the core factor that will most affect metal price fluctuations in 2024. Secondly, whether China's real estate will stabilize will also affect the fluctuation of metal prices.

New energy vehicles and wind, solar and hydrogen energy storage are regarded as the most promising consumer fields in 2024 with 171 votes or 80% of the votes.
