SMM Shanghai and other #1 Lead Markets Noon Comment: Shanghai Lead Strongly Rises While Spot Discounts Expand and Transactions are Few. On November 2nd, SMM reported that the Shanghai market was at 16540-16570 yuan/ton for Chihong Lead, with a discount of 30-0 yuan/ton to the Shanghai Lead 2311 contract; the Jiangsu and Zhejiang markets were at 16530-16590 yuan/ton for Jinji and Jiangtong Lead, with a discount of 40 yuan/ton to the Shanghai Lead 2311 contract to a premium of 20 yuan/ton. Shanghai Lead strongly rose, with holders offering prices in line with the market, and some delivery brands still offered small premiums during the period, while refineries continued to raise their offer prices.
