Spot trades in Tianjin zinc market were sluggish

In Tianjin, #0 zinc ingot was mostly traded at 21190~21320 yuan/mt, Zijin zinc 21260~21360 yuan/mt, and Huludao zinc 25620 yuan/mt. In terms of premium/discount, #0 zinc was quoted with premiums of 60~120 yuan/mt over SHFE 2311 contract, Zijin zinc 130~160 yuan/mt, and 80 yuan/mt over Shanghai prices.

SHANGHAI, Oct 25 (SMM) - In Tianjin, #0 zinc ingot was mostly traded at 21190~21320 yuan/mt, Zijin zinc 21260~21360 yuan/mt, and Huludao zinc 25620 yuan/mt. In terms of premium/discount, #0 zinc was quoted with premiums of 60~120 yuan/mt over SHFE 2311 contract, Zijin zinc 130~160 yuan/mt, and 80 yuan/mt over Shanghai prices.

As of noon of October 25, spot premiums of ordinary brand Chihong stood at 70~120 yuan/mt over SHFE 2311 zinc contract, Hongye 80 ~ 100 yuan/mt, Xinzi 80 ~ 120 yuan/mt, Kazakhstan zinc 50 yuan/mt (delivery in warehouse), KZ zinc 60~80 yuan/mt, and high-priced brand Zijin 130~160 yuan/mt. Zinc prices are on strong today, with premiums slightly lowered. High prices inhibit the purchasing enthusiasm of downstream companies. Market transaction conditions were poor. The traded prices of 1# zinc ingot were 21,150~21,240 yuan/mt.
