On October 16th, the 50MW wind power project in Dostyk Town of Sunshine New Energy Kazakhstan also connected to the grid. The 56MW wind power project in Akmola Phase II is one of the key projects in the list of China-Kazakhstan Production Capacity and Investment Cooperation. After the project is connected to the grid, it is expected to provide about 215 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity to the local area each year, equivalent to reducing 174,600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
The 50MW wind power project in Dostyk Town, which was connected to the grid this time, is located in Dostyk Town on the border of China and Kazakhstan. The wind farm adopts the 690V 6.25MW wind power converter of Sunshine Power, and installs 8 single-machine capacity 6.25MW wind turbines, which are the largest capacity wind turbines in Kazakhstan at present. After the power station is connected to the grid, it will bring 230 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity to the local power grid every year, which will greatly alleviate the power shortage in the southeast of Kazakhstan, and also create more than 100 jobs, providing strong support for local economic development and ecological protection.
