China Primary Aluminum Import And Export Data In August 2023

According to customs data, China’s primary aluminum imports in August 2023 reached 153,000 mt, a month-on-month increase of 31% and a year-on-year increase of 211%. In August, primary aluminum exports reached 25,000 mt, a month-on-month increase of 12% and a year-on-year increase of 319%. In August, net imports of primary aluminum were around 128,000 mt, a month-on-month increase of 36% and a year-on-year increase of 196%. From January to August, net imports of primary aluminum were approximately 650,000 mt, a year-on-year increase of 507%.
