Vedanta's second quarter report for 2023 revealed that the overall production was 660,000 tonnes, a 10% year-on-year decrease and a 3% month-on-month decrease, due to a decrease in the number of tonnes processed. Gamsberg production was 480,000 tonnes, a 13% year-on-year decrease and a 2% month-on-month decrease, due to a decrease in mine production. BMM production was 18,000 tonnes, a 3% year-on-year decrease and a 6% month-on-month decrease, due to higher production, zinc grade and recovery rate offsetting the lower lead grade. Vedanta also disclosed the situation in the first half of 2023, with overall production of 134,000 tonnes, a 5% year-on-year decrease, mainly due to a decrease in production; Gamsberg production of 970,000 tonnes, a 10% year-on-year decrease, mainly due to a decrease in production; and BMM production of 370,000 tonnes, a 11% year-on-year increase, due to an increase in the number of tonnes processed and an increase in zinc and lead recovery rate.
