According to SMM research, as of this Friday (October 13th), the total inventory of SMM seven zinc ingots was 100,000 tons, an increase of 7,900 tons from October 7th and a decrease of 1,500 tons from October 9th, resulting in a decrease in domestic inventory. After the holiday, the inventory decreased slightly, mainly in Guangdong and Tianjin. In Guangdong, the inflow decreased, and at the same time, downstream companies purchased at low prices after the zinc price dropped, and the shipment volume increased, driving the inventory to decrease significantly; in Tianjin, the arrival of smelters has obviously increased after the previous maintenance, and the galvanizing performance in the north is general during the holiday, and there is also replenishment in the middle, and the overall purchase enthusiasm is weak, and the inventory increases significantly; in addition, in Zhejiang and Shandong, due to the replenishment of downstream at low prices, the inventory also decreased. Overall, the original three places increased by 300 tons, and the seven places decreased by 1,500 tons.

ACG’s Gediktepe Sulphide Expansion Produces First Copper and Zinc Concentrates; Full Production Targeted by End-2026
ACG Metals announced on September 1 that its Gediktepe mine in Türkiye produced its first copper concentrate on August 31, marking the start of the ramp-up phase. The company will progressively increase throughput and optimise plant performance, targeting full production by the end of 2026. Gediktepe’s steady-state annual production target is 20,000–25,000 tonnes of copper equivalent. The full announcement also confirmed that the mine produced its first zinc concentrate in August 2026, although the specific date and volumes were not disclosed. SMM estimates the mine’s zinc-in-concentrate production at approximately 10,000–15,000 tonnes of contained zinc in 2026.
