SHANGHAI, Oct 12(SMM) – In the data released by the automobile industry in the first three quarters, Chinese automobile exports continued to rise, exceeding 400,000 units for two consecutive months. Data show that in September, China exported 444,000 vehicles, up 9% MoM and 47.7% YoY. From January to September, 3.388 million vehicles were exported, up 60% YoY. The reporter noticed that the export growth rate of new energy vehicles was significantly higher than that of traditional fuel vehicles. In September, 96,000 new energy vehicles were exported, up 92.8% YoY. From January to September, 825,000 new energy vehicles were exported, up 110% YoY.
Chen Shihua, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said that in the past two years, Chinese automobile exports maintained a rapid growth trend of one million units and became a highlight of the automobile market. In the future, the automobile industry will not only export in the form of direct trade but also will go global by building overseas factories and international cooperation.
