On October 7th, the New Energy Cloud Platform released the "Report on the Announcement of the Seventh Batch of Renewable Energy Power Generation Subsidy List for 2023". A total of 30 projects were included in the 2023 Seventh Batch of Renewable Energy Power Generation Subsidy List, with a approved/filed capacity of 132 megawatts, including 2 centralized power generation projects with a approved/filed capacity of 100 megawatts, and 28 distributed power generation projects with a approved/filed capacity of 32 megawatts. A total of 7 projects were changed in the Renewable Energy Power Generation Subsidy List, with a approved/filed capacity of 151.4 megawatts, including 2 centralized power generation projects with a approved/filed capacity of 149.5 megawatts, and 5 distributed power generation projects with a approved/filed capacity of 1.9 megawatts.

Alang Melting scrap prices rose by 3.16USD/tonne (300INR/tonne) to 386.83USD/tonne (36,700INR/tonne) ex-yard Alang. 8Ani (12mm) prices unchanged at 443.75USD/tonne (42,100INR/tonne) ex-yard Alang. PDRI sponge iron prices down by 3.16USD/tonne (300INR/tonne) to 313.05USD/tonne (29,700INR/tonne) EXW Bellary. PDRI sponge iron prices down by 2.11USD/tonne (200INR/tonne) to 310.94USD/tonne (29,500INR/tonne) EXW Raipur. Rebar up by 1.05USD/tonne (100INR/tonne) to 525.96USD/tonne (49,900INR/tonne) EXW Mumbai. India’s Industrial Growth Slows to 6.7% in July, but Steel Demand Remains Supported
India’s industrial activity continued to grow in July 2026, with the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rising 6.7% YoY, compared with 8.8% in June. Although growth slowed, July recorded the second-highest IIP growth since December 2025, showing that industrial activity remained relatively strong. For the domestic steel market, manufacturing, capital goods and infrastructure remain important areas to watch as they are key drivers of steel demand.
