Panasonic Energy, the lithium-ion battery giant, is entering the battery recycling market. According to Japanese media reports, Chief Technology Officer Zorro Watanabe revealed that the company will officially launch recycling and reuse within five years in cooperation with Redwood Materials in the United States. The report mentioned that the two sides have already cooperated in battery recycling. Panasonic provides Redwood with battery substandard and waste generated from its Nevada factory. In the future, the two sides will deepen their cooperation in the technology of high-purity rare metal recycling.
