According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, the total profits of enterprises above designated size in China from January to August were 465.582 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 11.7%, narrowing the decline by 3.8 percentage points compared with that from January to July. From January to August, the total profits of state-holding enterprises, stock-holding enterprises, foreign-funded and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-funded enterprises and private enterprises were 158.416 billion yuan, 340.184 billion yuan, 110.927 billion yuan and 124.872 billion yuan respectively, down 16.5%, 12.1%, 11.1% and 4.6% year-on-year respectively. In August, the total profits of enterprises above designated size in China turned from decline to increase, up 17.2% year-on-year.
