On September 25, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde held the third monetary dialogue this year with members of the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee and delivered a speech.
Lagarde said in her speech that recent indicators indicate further weakness in economic activity in the euro zone in the third quarter. Job creation in the service sector has slowed, and overall growth momentum has slowed. Lagarde also said that inflation will remain at a high level for a long time.
