Construction of Bulgaria's first hybrid renewable energy complex, Tenevo RES, has begun by Danish Eurowind Energy and Austrian Renalfa IPP, who will operate the project through the joint venture (JV) EURA IPP. Local EPC contractor Solarpro Holding is constructing the project in the Tenevo region, with the first phase beginning construction of a 237.58MW solar project, planned to be completed by the beginning of 2025, making it one of the country's largest clean energy power generation projects, providing electricity to 100,000 households. The second phase will add more than 250MW of wind power capacity, as well as 250MW/500MWh of storage.
