State Power Investment has continued to make great efforts in the research and development of new energy storage technologies, practical applications, demonstration and promotion, and has achieved remarkable results. As of March this year, its new energy storage installed capacity has reached 1588.08MW, accounting for about one sixth of the total in the country; the installed capacity has reached 3270.83MWh, an increase of 230% compared with the data collected by State Power Investment in May 2022. Among them, two production lines have been put into operation, involving lead-carbon batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries, PACK (battery packs), system integration, inverters and other energy storage products; another production line is under construction.
