Recently, the major project concentrated start-up activities in the Yiting District of Yichang City, Hubei Province, was held, and the zinc-iron flow new energy storage battery project invested by Shanghai Weijin Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. officially started.

The project covers an area of about 700 mu, and will construct a 20GWh zinc-iron flow new energy storage battery production line, supporting facilities and 500MW energy storage station. After the project is put into production, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 18 billion yuan and create 2000 new jobs.

It is reported that compared with other new energy storage batteries, zinc-iron flow batteries have advantages of safety, environmental protection and cost performance.
