Shanghai’s total import and export value in the first eight months of this year was 2.79 trillion yuan

According to statistics from Shanghai Customs, Shanghai’s total import and export value in the first eight months of this year was 2.79 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.6% over the same period last year and an increase of 8.4% over the same period in 2021, a record high for the same period. Among them, exports were 1.14 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.9% YoY, and imports were 1.65 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.8% YoY. The new major products (Electric passenger vehicles, lithium batteries, solar cells) have effectively boosted export growth and the export of high-value-added goods such as integrated circuits and ships performed well.
