Spot premiums for zinc in Shanghai dropped further

Mainstream traded prices of #0 zinc were 21910-22100 yuan/mt today, with 21990-22170 yuan/mt for Shuangyan zinc, and 21840-22030 yuan/mt for #1 zinc.

Mainstream traded prices of #0 zinc were 21910-22100 yuan/mt today, with 21990-22170 yuan/mt for Shuangyan zinc, and 21840-22030 yuan/mt for #1 zinc. Spot discounts expanded to 30-40 yuan/mt over the average SMM zinc price and premiums stood at 250 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2310 zinc contract. Trading was quiet.

During the second trading session, regular domestic brands were quoted with premiums of 210~230 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2310 zinc contract. Shuangyan zinc was quoted with premiums of 290~300 yuan/mt over the contract. The overall quotations today were chaotic. The transaction of imported zinc ingot was acceptable.
