The Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Beijing Commission of Planning and Natural Resources, and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform recently jointly announced the city’s second batch of affordable housing construction financing plans in 2023. Among them, 49 new projects are planned, totaling 62,000 affordable housing units. There are 37 projects planned to start this year and another 12 projects as backup reserves. The 37 projects include 29 rental housing projects including 16,000 housing units, and 8 property rights housing projects including 26,000 housing units, all of which are resettlement housing projects, totaling 42,000 units.
