The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development said today that 46,600 new urban and old residential areas were newly started from January to July. This year, according to the plan, 53,000 old residential areas in cities and towns will be rebuilt nationwide. According to the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, from January to July, the renovation of 46,600 old urban areas in China has been put into construction, benefiting 7.95 million residents. The overall operating rate reached 87.9%. Among them, renovation projects in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guizhou, Hunan, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Jiangxi, and Hubei have all started construction.
