With the explosive growth of the new energy vehicle industry, ternary power batteries have become the mainstream power of new energy vehicles, and the development of nickel resources is promising. Starting from the beginning of 2022, Weiming Environmental Protection has entered the field of new energy materials. It has invested in 3 high-nickel matte projects in Indonesia, with a total annual output of 130,000 tons of high-nickel matte nickel-containing metals, gaining an advantage in raw materials for new energy materials.
On July 19, Weiming (Singapore) Company, a subsidiary of Weiming Environmental Protection, signed the Joint Venture Agreement Regarding the Construction of Indonesian Laterite Nickel Ore Smelting and Production of Nickel Raw Materials for New Energy Projects with GEM (002340) (Wuxi), CAHAYA, Gelinte (Jingmen) Engineering Partnership (Limited Partnership) and Shanghai Puxiao. It planned to jointly invest in the construction of a laterite nickel ore hydrometallurgy project in Indonesia with an annual output of 20,000 mt of nickel raw materials with metal content for new energy field.
