Baidu, Tencent, Ali order $5 billion chips from Nvidia

According to UK media reports, citing two unnamed people close to Nvidia, Baidu, ByteDance, Tencent and Alibaba have placed orders with Nvidia for $5 billion in chips, which are critical to artificial intelligence systems. These companies have placed orders worth $1 billion for about 100,000 Nvidia A800 processors.

In addition, these companies have also purchased $4 billion in Nvidia graphics processing units (GPUs), which will be delivered in 2024.
