Multi-departments jointly support charging infrastructure building at passenger stations and new energy vehicles entering to the city and the countryside

According to the press of Shanghai CLS Fintech on August 2, General Office of the Ministry of Transport of the P.R. China, General Office of the Ministry of Education of the P.R. China, General Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the P.R. China, General Office of the Ministry of Commerce of the P.R. China, General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the P.R. China, General Office of the National Health Commission of the P.R. China, General Office of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Comprehensive Department of the National Railway Administration of the P.R. China, Comprehensive Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Office of the State Post Bureau of the P.R. China, and Office of the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. all issued the Notice on Accelerating the Transformation and Development of Bus Passenger Stations. The notice pointed out that the station service function should be expanded. Local transportation departments should cooperate with the development and reform and energy departments to support the construction of charging infrastructure at passenger stations and promote new energy vehicles to go to the city and the countryside. Meanwhile, the departments also should give priority to ensuring the charging needs of urban public vehicles, taxis, road passenger vehicles, etc., and encourage the development of night charging-and-keeping services. The transportation, commerce, and postal departments in various places should support passenger stations in accurately implementing zoning management. At the same time, under the premise of ensuring safe and orderly operation, the reconstruction of logistics and distribution facilities will be carried out to expand the functions of consignment, warehousing, sorting, and distribution of goods and mail express. Besides, all departments should support township passenger stations to expand postal express delivery, road freight logistics, road maintenance, and other functions to create multi-functional rural passengers with the integrated functions of passenger transport, mail express delivery, and logistics transportation. Local transport departments should guide passenger stations and urban bus operators to strengthen cooperation, support passenger stations to expand the distance between the first and last bus stations, build bus parking and maintenance parks with functions, and equip taxi & online car parking and storage yards and shared vehicles parking points. And local departments should also build intra-city, intercity, and urban and rural transfer centers according to local conditions while encouraging qualified passenger stations to expand car rental, motor vehicle training, and other services.
