Indonesia will allow Freeport Indonesia and Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) to continue exporting copper despite a ban that began in June, according to Reuters.
AMNT said that the company has obtained the export license of copper concentrate from the Ministry of Trade. The export license of 900,000 wmt of copper concentrate is valid from July 24, 2023 to May 31, 2024. Earlier, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) had also issued a proposal to AMNT to approve the export of mineral processing products as a basis for the Ministry of Trade's export license.
