In comparison to May, June saw a 5.3% decrease in exports to Vietnam at 53,600 mt or 16.31% of total exports. Exports to India surged by 17.4% to 50,600 mt, 15.39% of total exports. Exports to Thailand increased by 1,200 mt to 47,000 mt, or 14.3% of the total, making Thailand third in terms of volume. Exports to Cambodia dipped by 4.3% to 33,400 mt, or 10.17% of the total. Malaysia received 28,100 mt, 8.56% of overall exports. While Korea and the US saw decreased volumes, the deficit compared to the top five wasn't substantial. Exports to Korea totalled 26,800 mt, or 8.17% of the total, and exports to the US were 21,900 mt, or 6.65% of the total.

The June export surge was due to heightened Southeast Asian demand, specifically India's fresh PV installation requirements and higher roof PV installation capacities. Additionally, demand rose in Korea and the US.

【SMM Analysis】Spot Price Floors Move Lower as Deep Off-Peak Hours Expand, Solar-Storage Signals Emerge in Shandong
Shandong has recently moved to adjust its spot-market price floors, industrial and commercial time-of-use tariffs, and operating rules for energy storage co-located with renewable energy stations. Although the three policies target differently, they all address the same challenge. The policies do not mark a return to mandatory storage requirements, but they do increase the downside price exposure of non-mechanism PV volumes and strengthen the need to shift electricity across time.
